I just want to add some facts:
1) Fastest and quickest 1/4mi car between the "Big Four" or whatever you want to call it is the Nissan 300zxTT.
2) Top speed world record holder: 420km/h by one of JUN's cars. http://www.junusa.com/history.htm
Don't be stupid by saying stuff contrary to proven facts. When your car is tuned to reach these levels, then we'll speak. For now, just bow down to the quickest and fastest import in the world.

1- Siguel Racing(rx-7) clocking at 7.37 at 180mph. I think that's a little faster than 7.45.
2-A slow 4-cyl also clock in at 7.48 at 176mph. Driven by Sakura. Not as fast as 7.45, but i think it's pretty for a 4-cyl, agree?
3-World quickest 4-cyl clock in at 6.91 at 191mph. Driven by Kris Lauffer. Hey it's a 4-cyl, wow.

Wow, this was a good thread, now it sucks. But I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway. Most of the F-body cars with manuals seem to be faster with an auto from the factory. But every turbo car "the bid 4" all are much faster with 5 or 6 speed (stock) I'm sorry but what fun is an auto other than go in a straight line? A sports car is supposed to be stick - more fun to drive. Most of the autos I've come across are a lot slower on a highway roll.

Talk about a fool... you ovbiously bought a real messed up Z.. 'zs are very reliable cars, my daily driver is a na 90 z, and my baby is a 93 TT.... why do you talk so much trash about the 300zx ? is it becuase you get smoked by them ? take into account 10 years of engineeering tech.. hands down a stock s2000 cannot beat a stock 300zxtt, it doesnt happen... yes the s2000 wil ltake a NA,yah its heavy and older... what are you gonna say when the 350 z comes out in 2003 ? and what when they make the turbo models ?
Really its not worth talking trash vs 300zx's, they are very powerful and respecatble cars, just because you got a lemon ofa Z with alot of problems doesnt mean they are all bad... come on give Z's the respect they deserve ! just be happy being faster than crustangs.. lol

and to the guy with the del sol, dont try to give a honda del sol credit where its definatly not deserved. del sol is not to be compared to even a NA 300zx 90+.. thats just not fair !

My 2 cents about the S2000 vs. 300ZX T-Turbo issue:
1. They are both completely different cars....Turbo vs Non-turbo
2. The interior of the 300ZX is MUCH MUCH better than the S2000 and YES, it does compare to the NSX.
3. The S will outhandle the Z in stock form

5. After the 1/4 mile, the Z will start to gain rapidly on the S
6. The Turbo Z (90-95, not 96) has a lot more potential for mod.performance
7. The S has an advantage of 10 years apx. in engineering
8. The S (with a hardtop
) looks better than the Z
9. The S is a sweet f**ing car

I have a video that was posted that shows a stock S2K kicking the shit out of a 300 TT. It wasn't even close to catching it!!!!

The kid on the N/A Z looks like he just bought the damn car.....he didn't even get a bit of a squeel, plus maybe lips needs to let him know he was going to race him........that video is very lame and should be taken out of archive,.....if , on the other hand you are talking about another video, please do post it..........
