1.autos have torque converters that sap power.

I believe we were talking factory cars here. Most factory cars have crappy torque converters save for Mercedes Benz.

No, i don't understand how a torque converter works. It must be because I drive a Civic.

Yeah.

Gimme a break. Go do your research and look up times for auto vs manual cars that are otherwise identical and see for yourself how the manual almost always is faster than their automatic counterparts.

Just think about how fast an automatic S2000 would be, and why Honda didn't even bother making one.

laughing - the 996 only comes MANUAL. that does NOT MEAN because it's manual it's faster then it would be for DRAG RACING as an auto!

lack of gears? give me a break! the fastest street supra ran an 8.9 with a custom auto 3 gear box w/ a high-stall tc. you think that can be done with a manual? YAH RIGHT.

s2000 is no drag car. 14s passes is enough to put someone to sleep. people need to stop posting this BS wannabe kill stories (Yah I killed a C5, then I hung with a BPU Supra, then beat down..... ) yah right. if you don't like people coming on your forum and backing up their car, then stfu in the first place.

The 996TT comes in both manual and auto.

Get your facts straight lest you continue to make yourself look like a fool.

"Power is fed through a six-speed manual gearbox, with each individual ratio carefully selected to provide strong, seamless acceleration through the gears. The race-proven cable-operated gearshift mechanism guarantees smooth, precision gear changes while eliminating vibration from the engine and gearbox.

LOL. Who the hell said I was talking about the 911 turbo? Slows POS compared to the G2. That's what I'm talking about here. That 911 turbo would run faster then the manual w/ a better high stall tc. If we are talking drag, you better be talking the best they own.
