2007 S2000 vs. E46 M3 6 Speed
After doing some mountains runs on 34 (I think its called 34 unless it was 35?) off of 92 for the first time, while driving home, about to make a left onto a Thorton Ave, a silver convertible M3, revs his engine, looks at me, rides his clutch as he is moving back and forth on a short incline.
I'm like oh snap, M3's are hella fast, and when the light turns green, we both hit it and make our left turn by flooring it. While making the left turn, my rear end slips a bit, but I just continued flooring it. Then I shifted to second, and then to third and then we hit a red light. I didn't see how much I beat him by, but that he just floors it and and I make my right onto Blacow to drop off my cousin. I don't know how many cars I beat him from 1-3, but I was ahead of him. lol.
Not much really a race or anything, but man that M3 sounded beasty. It has the whiney, electrical engine noise that's like sex to the ears!

yeah, M3s are nice. If you would have continued on I am sure he would have pulled you. I raced an E46 coupe when I had my K20 EM2 civic, and he would get me out of the hole by a car or so and then I would hold him at that. My civic was slightly faster than my S2k is, so.....

M3 verts are noticably slower than their coupe counterparts...an S shouldn't be too far off from a vert M3 until triple digits.

count me in the crowd.
an E46 M3 is my next car. ive been researching the hell out of it.
stock they trap 106-109(highest recorded trap). thats out of the reach of 99% of NA s2ks.
think of this way. performance wise. E46 M3=C5 vette
