Good run... the M3 vs. the C5 will generally be a drivers race although I strongly believe I could run a 13.0 @ 107mph (which I have) in my M3 and jump into a C5 6 speed and crack 12's. It's a bit faster car in general but the M3 is very strong especially into the triple digits. There is a post on the M3forum.com now about some encounters with sport bikes at high speeds and is a pretty good read. The M3 is surprisingly strong well into the triple digits, however the C5 is lighther, has more power and has better aerodynics. You are a strong driver it appears and if you do the full exhaust you will find it won't be as much of a challenge running the stock C5. I haven't done the full exhaust on the M yet but had the opportunity to drive a 2003 M3 with full exhaust (including headers) and Eurobahn software and it was a VERY STRONG car compared to my stock M3.

Just as I predicted. Here's an honest assumption on me, with speeds higher than 120mph, a C5 will start to slowly pull away. Why? Because it is more powerful, lighter, more aerodynamic, etc. Aerodynamics play a huge part at high speeds.
That's not to say that your car is slow or anything, because it's awesome. It's like an S2K vs. 350Z. Both will be close at low speeds, but up high at 100+, the Z will start to pull away due to better aerodynamic and more power.
But anyway, tell us more about the "phuck this, phuck that" part. To me, it's much more interesting.

Btw, here's an honest question for you guys:
Why is the M3 that fast (or as quick as a C5 6-sp) when the M3 usually dynoes at 260-270 rwhp (300+ for C5), lower torque, heavier, and has a higher drag coeff.? According to those numbers alone, the C5 should be around .5 seconds faster in the 1/4mi, but it's not. Does it have to do with the gearings in both of them?
