1993-97(?) Firebird LT1 vs MY00
Hey guys, had a fun run off a light last night. I was cruising around top down after having gotten some food. Some hillbilly and his friend (both wearing dirty stained wifebeaters and truckers hats, one was fat the other was skinny and both were smoking) come blasting up next to me and rev at me trying to provoke a run. One shouted "Nice car f*g!"
They remained at my side for a good mile or so until we were approaching a red light. As we rolled up to it, it turned green. I had anticipated this and downshifted to 1st @ 20 mph or so. I heard the V8 rumble and turn into a screaming bellow and I put the pedal to the boards. He was right next to me until 7k in first gear and between 7-9 I'd pulled enough to get my rear bumper at his front. I snapped 2nd gear and immediately pulled far enough to safely pull in front of him as our two lanes were about to merge to one.
