There's alot of misinformation regarding BOV being thrown in here.

You don't need EM for all BOVs on either the EVO or the STi. All you need is a recirculating BOV that will keep the ECU happy. The problem is that the MAF measures the amount of air that was suppose to be going back, and the 100% venting BOV lets all that air out and the car is running rich like a pig.

Also, some EVO/STi owners don't have the stalling problem with a 100% atmos. venting BOV, it all depends on who you ask. But almost all of them wil have the problem where the rpm dips below normal and bounces back up when coming down from a high rpm.

And no, a BOV doesn't make a turbo car loses power. If it does, then either there's something wrong with the tension spring(valve opening prematurely) or it's intalled wrong.

I agree, only way a bov is gonna make you lose power is if its leaking, which is why most people upgrade (stock is plastic) Why do people think Evo's even stock are slow top end? When mine was bone stock I could hit 150+ no problem and it wouldnt struggle at all to get there.

As mentioned if you have the Evo at about 20 mph imo its just like racing froma dig. I was messing around with a buddy in his S frrm a slow roll, I would even let him vtec first then I would blow by him. He couldnt believe I just had the turboback and reflash.

I'll add this too I dont know at what rpm he was shifting, but i can take my Evo up to 120 in 4th before having to shift (7800 redline) and believe me 4th gear pulls hard, just ask my wife with her Z06

Shhhhh Yeah of course, but honestly I thought she was going to pull away from me in 4th, but we were side by side up to 120 where I had to shift, then she put multiple cars on me

No, dont have a cat on the Evo, but I was hoping to have my WORKS cams, clutch, flywheel and TRE built tranny next week, but damn UPS screwed that up for me
