A clutch is not covered under warranty. (unless in some extreme cases it has malfunctioned from the factory)
Hey Wisconsin, with all this 1/4 mile talk and the seemingly increasing interest in 1/4 mile racing the s2k is there anyway we can get our own 1/4 mile racing sub forum? Also maybe have a seperate thread similar to this one with a listing of 1/4 mile times, / mods and links to slips or videos? Maybe something similar to dsm tuners? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/timeslips.php
Just an idea I wanted to throw out there.

for the first 12mo I belive the clutch is covered. I may be wrong though. Of course I wouldn't tell them I was racing it.

Regardless, the admins have their hands full right now, as we desperately need to upgrade and add 4 new servers. There's also a lot of other things they need to get done right now as well, so those are priority. (the more paid supporting members we get the better and faster this gets done! lol)

I was wondering why this 1/4 mile thread is in the SE forum and not the Racing and Competition forum???

new times. 13.6@99 with 1.915 60ft. Azenis were hooking up, little too much. My clutch started slipping real bad. Only made three passes. It was 80 dgrees out and very humid. On my second run the clutch started slipping worse when shifting gears but I still managed a 13.6 My last run as I went it to second the clutch just completly slipped and I was bouncing off the rev limiter. It was like I was in neutral. It sucked cause I actually had a chance to win the allmotor class. Guy who won it had a 350z with Mickey Thompson ET streets ran a 13.2. He was cutting 1.8's. Everyone was on radials or slicks and I was cutting just as good 60ft's on street tires with 35psi. I also was in full street trim. I am so pissed, but I'll get over it I guess. Got a video, just need to figure out how to get it off my girls camera.

^ Very nice! What are you mods, if any? Azenis are supposed to suck for drag racing--the sidewalls are way too stiff. Apparently they worked for you this time around though. Also, how is it that your tires hooked up so well at 35 psi, when most people seem to be running around 22 psi.

my mods:
VAFCII
AEM V2
Rick's Header
Berk TP
Invidia
4.57-R gears w/ comptech reinforced diff
Azenis Rt615 on Shuk wr1
F=225/45 17x7
R=255/40 17x9
Not too happy with my time for my mods, but it's mainly due to the clutch letting go. With a new clutch and some cooler weather low 13's should be obtainable in full street trim.
As for the azenis. They are the best tire I have ever owned. They hook up on the street and track and they really hug the road in the twisties. I used to run these on my civic, 195/60/14. I ran 2.2 60fts on every pass. Went from 35psi all the way down to 20psi and my 60ft stayed the same. So I assumed this would be true on my S2k. My first run yesterday I launched at 6k and bogged, but still managed a 13.8 and a 2.0 60ft. So I left them at 35 and the next pass I pulled the 13.6 and the 1.9. I told the dude with 350 I was gonna match his 1.8 on cheater slicks with my street tires, but my clutch said NO Sux cause that $300 prize money would have looked nice in my wallet.
