Default '06 350Z VS '02 S2000

Yes, another encounter after the rsx encounter last night.

Anyways, I'm on my way home after buying a snowboard from a friend in OC. So I have a huge snowboard kinda obstructing my vision to my right. I'm about to merge onto another freeway and I see some black car with LED lights in front of me and thought it was a 6 series bmw. But when he pressed his brakes, there was more LED's on the roofline, so I knew it was a Z.

Well, the interchange ramp to merge onto the other freeway turns from one lane into two, and goes into a crazy 180degree corkscrew almost. Well I wasn't really trying to race the Z, but I wanted to pass him on this corkscrew ramp because this ramp is fun to heel toe thru and I'm guessing he was gonna go slow thru it. Well as soon as I make my move on the outside to pass him up, he guns it too and tries to brake later than me before the turn. So I think to myself, 'this guy...' haha. Needless to say, I get enough clearance to cut him off at the end of the turn where the two lanes merge into 1 again. Remember, I was on the outside the whole time too, do I really corner that fast?

So I haul ass onto the freeway we just merged onto thinking he was gonna try and draft me, but he didn't. So I slow back down to about 85, when I see him start to go fast. I tried to downshift, but by that time, he had already pulled off a beautiful ricer fly-by. . So I see him slow down up ahead, thinking he wanted to run side by side. He ends up switching lanes to the right, and me on the left, while we're going 95mph. So he starts to go a little faster and I just decided to gun it. I crawled away and had about 3/4ths-1car length at 120mph. So I slow down after that, and just cruised for a few seconds then he pulls another wonderful ricer fly-by. Then he lines up next to me to look into my car, but I had my seat reclined all the way back, and a big fat snowboard in the passenger side with a fat ass jacket wrapped around it to protect the seat. .

cliffnotes: S2000 pulls about 1 car length from 90-120.

Should have pulled him, but not everybody gets 100% out of their car and even some cars aren't 100% of what they should be.

90-120 mph their is little to no skill involved at all.

I agree, maybe he wasn't going all out? Seemed pretty fast when he did his ricer fly-by's. I won't lie, I was pretty impressed with his fly-by because once I saw him I tried to downshift to stop his pull, but it didn't work. So I waited for him to slow down so we can line up evenly. Maybe he didn't give it his all when we lined up evenly?

I don't think that a 350Z is so much faster that it can play around with you and not go all out. It's the same reason you couldn't catch up after he got the jump on you. If you both accelerate at near the same rate when going all out then his jump means that there's no way for you to catch up.

Nice one Ben! I used to race my friends G35 Every day! We worked at the same place down in the OC and we would come across each other at the same time and at the same place. (110 and 405 S) every day.

He could never touch me though, he had the automatic, however I would literally spank him by 4-5 cars each time! and he would never give up.
