The Genesis, yes... I believe I ran one out in AZ now too long ago, around Desert Ridge. The guy was bad assing it from light to light which irritated me, so I decided to put him in his place, which was second in a 2 car race. But to my suprise me kept up very well in the begining but I pulled away with ease once we got up to speed.
I was in shock at first because I didnt know Hyundai made a 6 and 8 cylinder engine and was scratching my head wondering how the hell he hung so well with me.

Calm down I was just playing with ya man. I actually kinda admire the engineering that Hyundai put into that engine. I was astounded to say the least.
I still would have a hard time owning an EVO X knowing it was powered by hyundai. Its just a stigma thing, kinda like how even though i like the Saturn Sky's styling better than the soltice, I would still have trouble purchasing one because its still a freaking saturn.
No biggie dude, I'll quit thread jacking now btw.

Ive beat several genesis coupes (both i4 turbo and v6) here in Korea with my s2k. I pulled harder than the OPs story but yeah, sounds about right. I didnt know that the EVOX motor was a hyundai either. I respect the hyundai brand, but I personally do not like their cars, so I wouldnt buy one.

sarcasm is very difficult to detect on the internet, but the answer to your question is no.
