Blah, Blah...Cams, Cam you know what I mean Yeah I dont know what to say, but that was his tq #, hes actually a good friend of ours and I know he has the dyno sheet. He got it dyno tuned at Synergy here in CA. In his defense he can actually drive pretty well.

Oh since im talking to you you think its worth it to port n polish the stock Z06 heads? My wife finally wants to start modding and she wanted to PNP the heads and throw in a "cam" what do you recommend for cam, she wants a lopey idle but nothing crazy as it is her DD. We might do that for now, then some LT's and a Procharger.
If you get that dyno sheet, pm me if you don't mind. I'd love to see his power curve.

LS6 heads are very well made heads, and alot of vendors sell PNP LS6 heads. I'm running PNP LS6 heads right now that was ported by TSP. If you're sure you will supercharge the car, then you should put in a blower cam. Unless you want to change it out later on when you do supercharge it and pay the extra labor cost. For a good DD, you probably want to stay under 230 on durations, around 570ish lift and 114 lsa. TSP, Thunder Racing, and LG all have very nice cam selections from mild to wild.

Yeah as far as labor, we get a pretty good rate, my Cobra is basically sponsored by MSX and he would give us a killer deal on the Z06, so im not too worried about labor costs. We are dynoing the Z06 for sure this Saturday I talked to the dyno place earlier today and were going to get a baseline dyno on the Vette before we dyno tune the Cobra.

Silentdancer...Lol, I totally agree with you. Although, I might consider the new Camaro if it comes out.

i know a few guys running some bigger cams for daily drivers

but a nice pnp heads and a 224 cam would make GREAT power and be a nice daily combo

Ok guys brace yourselves, we dyno'd the Z06 on Saturday and you'll never guess what it dyno'd at. It dyno'd at an unbelieveable 328hp and im totally serious, this was on a Mustang Dyno. Everyone was completely shocked, we cant figure it out, and whats funnier is the guys at the dyno belive the car has a cam, we were like ok that is very low for a stock Z06 so if it had a cam that would be worse. Everyone that knows the Z06 and has seen it race cant believe its only dynoing 328, believe me the car is FAST! So now we have everyone confused, anyone have any thoughts on what it could be? The car sounds like its running great and pulls liek a freight train obviously if it just stayed even with our buddies 448 whp Hawk, lol I dont know.

BTW, my Cobra didnt get dyno'd they had some problems with the software and my MAF was maxing out at like 3K rpm and I have an SCT 2800 MAF so I know thats not the problem that MAF is good up to 8-900 hp.

Well, it may have. It did have issues with the load cells going out. I dont know much about the dynos but at my work, if a load cell goes out and you replace it, you have to recalibrate it right otherwise it wont give you accurate numbers.

Here's a vid of my Z06's 2nd pull:

Here's a crappy pic of the dyno sheet:

So, what you guys think?

why did they cut the run off at 6000rpms?? i would ahve ran it to near 6800. that sucker looks to be still climbing and that hints at a small cam or rockers or pnp heads with it peakin that high. or so it seems to me..i thought Z06's peaked at around 6000rpms and urs looks to be climbin abit beyond that.

dyno jet readings are in the 360-370 whp range. mustangs i have heard dyno lower... so 20% onto 328 is around 393whp... so it does seem to indicate that u are making stout numbers. vortec superchargers test stock Z06 made 316whp on their mustang dyno...food for thought

Actualy I did tell them to pull to 6800 (I usually shift when I see the "shift" flash in the HUD). The last one he hit the rev-limit on it. Here's the numbers we got:

If you cant view it and really "need to see it, I can e-mail it. Just let me know (MR2Quik@aol.com). I'm hoping to DynoJet it sometime in the near future. We'll see.
