it was from about 40-110 or so. i was shifting fast and the car was new. bad combo. i have alot of respect for these cars(sti). i just caught a noobie in his new car. i am sure he'll get his revenge.

your buddies need to learn to drive. FROM A ROLL its a very good race. the faster you go the harder the s pulls. this is with light modded sti's on stock turbos.
last month i raced a evo8 with exhaust and bov, pulled 1 car on him too. awd no longer is an advantage at speed. in fact it draws power. while the sti/evo makes 40-50 more hp, its also draws 20-30 to turn awd. hence base line dynos for those cars being in the 240-60whp area. there is also the 350lbs wieght advantage the s enjoys.

At higher speeds the S will pull a bit on stock or close to stock evos
AWD does result in greater drive train losses than 2WD
A BOV adds no power to an evo and a cat back adds maybe 10 whp. So unless it was full turboback with testpipe (which can give 30 whp inc), his evo was basically stock. You need an MBC ($90) or reflash ($200-700) b4 or full turboback ($550 or more) b4 you can take an S IMHO.
Given equal drivers, you shouldnt be pulling on him until >100mph. So either he couldnt drive, wasnt pushing it (why would he be racing u if he wasnt pushing it), or his car was unusually slow due to being brand new (shouldnt make 4 cars diff in my opinion), or a crap factory freak.

i pull 2 car lenghts on my buddies 04 STI. he has cai, turbo back exhaust. i am sorry but 213rwhp is enough.
especially if its untuned which im betting it is since based on his choice of mods, hes stupid about his own car.
