02 s2k vs porsche carrera 4 s
We were heading to an autox about an hour from my house and on the way we passed a older guy in this porsche carrera 4s. I kinda revved at him just to get a laugh. Well after a few minutes I noticed him trying to catch back up to me. we were cruising at about 90mph. I shifted to 5th, slowed to 80 and shifted to forth waiting for mr money to get close enough to me. As soon as I could see his front tire I punched it and we rolled up to about 115ish. he never moved from my side the whole time. I wonder if he was just messing with me or he really couldnt pull? I know the car is 355hp all wheel drive, so maybe he was just messin

Bro finally!! Someone else!
I posted a vid aloooong time ago of me vs a brand new carrera 4s...fat ass tires in the back, pimp car...from a 1st gear roll we were dead even till the end of 4th gear..everyone said there's no way, it must of been a boxter, blah blah.. but finally someone else has an encounter with one!
One of the best runs i've ever had...Nice run!
*edit* I just saw you wrote cayman s...are you sure it didn't say Carrera 4S?

The Cayman is not 4wd and is 295hp. There is no Cayman 4S. There is a Carrera 4S though...perhaps that is what you saw.
And at those speeds, I imagine he was just messn...the higher the speed the more a Carrera should walk an S2k.

uhm, i agree with the first 2 posters. ive ran every form of late model carrera, and cayman. S/cabrio/4s/boxterS you name it. havent lost to one yet. and these are abundant cars here in vegas. they are the same as an E46 M3. as far as ive seen, they lose to M3's when the roll happens.

No such thing. Caymans come in "S" models with a 3.4L 295 hp engine. Even then they are substantially faster than a stock S2000. A new Carrera 4 S (that just came out) has 355 hp, way more tq, and a 1/4 mile in the 12's. The older version (320 hp), a convertible, and with tiptronic maybe, even then would be a bear to beat.
