01 s2k vs. Jetta 1.8T
So I ran the Jetta last night and to tell you truth it surprised me a little. From a 20mph roll he would pull a little then I would reel him back in and start to pull. From a 50mph roll we were about even and then about 80mph I started to pull away. Now here is the surprise. From a dig I would always win by about a car, but it was only because he could not get traction. I feel if the Jetta could hook up then I would have been in some trouble from a dig.
Does this sound about right to you guys?

I don't think its right. Was a vr6 or the 1.8t? I've raced the gti ( I belive they have the same motor ) that was modded and beat him by at least 3 cars. And from my understanding the 1.8t is faster than the vr6. I've also driven the bug 1.8t and the gti both or slower than balls, the S should have no problem killing them. On top of that the jetta is fatter than the other two.

a stock 1.8t is no problem, you will walk him, bad. esp if its a 4dr jetta. now my friend had a modded GTI 1.8t.... JUST a chip got him 210whp.. thats from 180? or so crank.. it was insane.. it was pretty much just a boost controller.. and im sure it car wouldnt last too long, but who knows.. so yeah. modded its close, stock, not close.
I know someone w/ a Jetta 1.8 chipped, exhaust, intake and Audi TT fuel pump....It's fast, but, I don't think I'll have a problem taking him....

Well I know he was modded he had a chip upgrade, exhaust, and CAI some type of different valve that ridrects the air into the system so the revs don't fall when you shift.
As far as the driving goes no I'm not the best in the world but I consider myself pretty damn good, behind the wheel. He est. power was 240whp and 280tq.
