was drivin home tonight with a gf of mine on the highway with no trafic,
saw an rsx and a 92 mustang cobra up ahead and decided to catchup and was hopin to get one of em to race me, went by the rsx, no bite, went by the cobra all of a sudden i head him down shift and give chase behind me, slowed down and waited for him to pull beside me, we were doin about 100 km/hr( 60 mph), he looked over and nodded, i nodded back and he honked and we both gunned it at the same time, as soon as i hit vtec i started to pull away from him, at the end of 5th i had him by 4-5 cars.
my exit came after the race so had to get off, both gave each other and went on our ways. is this wat the outcome shoulda been??
i thought cobras were supposed to be fast cars???

Read it again, 92 cobra which are not supercharged. Stock those are slow, outcome sounds right to me. Good race, those are slower than the GT current anyhow.

wtf are you talking about ...a 92 cobra is BY NO MEANS a low 13 second car...You are thinking of the supercharged 03+ models...The cobra's back then only had minor motor changes done to set them apart...granted they were a bit quicker then a regular 5.slow but nothing dramatic, a s2000 will walk over one on a daily basis

well there also was never a 92 cobra. there was however a 93 cobra and a 93 cobra R. The R however is EXTREMELY rare (i think they only made 107 of them). The stock 93 cobra should run mid to low 14's stock. foxbody stangs aren't fast from a roll in stock form. Obviously modded they can become absolute beasts.

then i think i must have beat a 91 cobra then, cause i know i saw "cobra" on the rear bumper and also the cobra tail lights and the dual exhuast, so im sure it was a cobra, so probably a 91 then, i was kinda suprised that i beat it too,

93 was the first year of the Cobras. It was the only Fox-body Cobra. If the bumper said Cobra, and it was a Fox body, it was either a 93, or a Cobra bumper on a non-Cobra. The main performance differences from a GT of those years were the heads, brakes, and wheels/tires.

Why in the hell woudl they ever make an SVT Contour? That's about the dumbest thing I have ever seen
