drag limited??? thats because it lacks HP. your talking about a BONE stock s2k. once its modded, drag limited goes out the window. add 40 flywhel hp and see how an ap1 pulls. im with blessed, i went to 161 with my ap1.
and again im frustrated with my 157 now. i need 170mph+ minimum gearing for when i go power adder. someone please make a 3.88 oh man, id be the first buyer.

My apologies, I didn't mean to direct my irritation at you. OKC = oklahoma city.

I'm not going to go out of my way to set something up, considering I came here to get them to the track.... but when I meet up with them if they want to run I will be down.

I agree below 100mph it's a drivers race(would make for a good video), and up top the Z is faster. I'm not sure why doofus was trying to argue that.

WOW. This thread blew up since i last read it...

I went back to the track in my S2k...I ran a 13.78 at 101mph even...I removed the airbox lid, and had just shy of 1/4 tank...instead of 3/4 tank.


I raced the Z again from a Dig, and actually pust about 1/2 car on him this time, and he did not catch up even at +130

I have never driven this particular Z before, and he wanted me to take it down the track. So i drove from the staging lane to the beams...Its a Open Dif Z...

First pass...Boom 14.09 at 100pmh...
Second pass Boom 13.93 at 99mph...

then the track got rained out.

As far as IM concerned. These 2 cars are VERY evenly matched. The best the owner of the car could do was a 14.4however, which would explain me putting 1/2 car on him.

I dont understand why you people feel like arguing? Its stupid...I have since raced a 04 G35 and pulled it...and kept pulling. I then raced an 03Z and pulled it as well. He had exhaust and wheels.

Its really a drivers race...and i usualy drive better than most poeple in my area (not trying to sound cocky).

P.S....i dont see why people put shorter gears in an S...4.10s are crazy as is!!! does it really make it faster? or just feel faster???

I dont plan on it, because if im boostin i dont wanna shift every other second

Gears will make the car accelerate faster and will also reduce top speed.

this puts things in perspective for me. thanks, honestly. i guess i live in a different world. every, and i mean every sunday, we have our roll ons. they are on the freeway. and the fastest of the fast show up there, at times we have a radar gun, but usually just a camera. and cars consistently are between 170- 190 mph, some clearing 200 mph. and this feels normal to me.
i cleaned out the s2k several times on the way to san diego last weekend, with all 3 blasts hitting 155 and then let off cause no more room, and only 2 more mph to go anyways. and thats NA, full tank with a passenger. imagine if i had 500+ wheel. id be there in a heartbeat. thats why i said what i said. top speed runs are fun. anyways. late
