wow i got 1 reply to my 00 s2k vs. G35 thread
good race nonetheless - from a roll, the G35's front bumper was at my back bumper by the end of the race and since a 350Z is lighter, your race has a typical outcome.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Z hit his governor.... Z's are governed to 159 on the speedos... and they will peg 159 like no tomorrow... 135 is also not close to rev-limit territory in 4th or 5th gear on a revup... so something sounds a bit off.
I have a non-revup and have raced a handful of s2000s on the highway from 60mph rolls. The first one I raced (he is a member on this forum & a nice guy) was the closest of them all... He hung very close until about 80-100mph and then I started walking off... the rest of the guys I've raced were after I dropped about 60lbs and installed a K&N drop-in... I pull right from the start even if they get the hit... and by the time I hit 100 the race might as well be over. Just my experience with the matchup.

I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the driver...because a Z should not lose to an s2000 in a straight line at higher speeds. I know a lot of posers drive 350z's so it wouldn't surprise me if you've beaten some.
Facts:
Z has a better power:weight ratio.
Z has more power.
Z has better aerodynamics
Z has just as good gearing.
S2000 owners that get bent out of shape over nothing have little dicks.

AND considering the fact how much the S2000 actually DOES put down to the wheels.
And i hardly call 3.5 ratio anything close to the S2k's 4.10s.
This is from a previous 350z track owner. Me. :-)
