Your S on Track / Course

Man, you guys are harsh. I'm glad I use white tape when I'm on track, otherwise you'd be ribbing me, too.
When the car is a full-race car, then I'll live without the tape. But until then, I still consider the car to be something that I might need to re-sell. Nobody wants to buy a car with a sandblasted front-end, and if I'm having to sell the car, then I probably won't want to invest several hundred dollars for a re-spray.

Do you wrap your couch in plastic?
I don't get significant sandblasting on the freeway because I don't follow too closely, and because most drivers aren't running super sticky tires that suck gravel off the road and vault it into the air.
Regardless, to each their own. Honestly, I've been too lazy to tape my car the past few times I've been to the track/autocross, but that's mostly because I plan to convert it to a racecar in the future, so it won't really matter in the end. However, if I planned to use it as a daily driver and wanted to be able to shine it up & have it be pretty when I take it out on the town, I might treat it differently.
