blueosprey, I wish you had stopped to chat!

Here is my 2:13.7 lap. It was a bit of a struggle weekend but I'm content with the lap time. Was pushing for a 2:12 and overdrove the car and had my first off-track experience in 4 years of track driving. Congrats to Charles in the black AP2 on a p2 finish.

I went down with our friend Aashish V. who was running his Civic Si. I wanted to make sure he wasn't exhausted by the drive down from Albany and to try to get him some useful data and in car video. That was a complete fail since his car has not one piece of metal on the inside on which to mount the AIM Solo. And then he was reluctant for me to mount my cameras, so I was running them in the car of another driver (Adam Wright) down from Albany.

VIR is my favorite track. I was pleasantly surprised to see the 4 (or was it 5) S2000s - and rather jealous as well! My car doesn't have a roll bar and I can't run it a VIR. I've raced there with my MGA a few times (small bore vintage).

I spent some time up near the bridge overlooking the esses. The S2000s look so elegant running through them from that vantage point. I also spent some time on the fence at the Hog Pen.

Stimulating run that you had there. Nice job.

Glad none of the S2000s involved in the carnage on Sunday morning.

Jeff

Sandia Speedway in New Mexico. First track or autox day in about 2 years for me, so I had some rust to shake off.

Went to the SCCA Time Trials this past weekend at Pitt Race as a spectator. Didn't have a camera, but a few snaps of the S2000s with my I-Phone. I believe every one won a trophy in his class.
A bit depressed because I wasn't there as a driver.

Had a couple of fun events this weekend. Friday we did a track night at Brainerd Intl Raceway here in MN. Sunday, my codriver at the local autocross event had a last minute emergency and had to leave just before our heat in his ND. Luckilly I had the S2k there with the yokes still on it and was able to run it. Ended up 10th in PAX out of 130 drivers, 4th in raw time (first was a birken) and not sure how I stand yet in pro index because full results are not ready and I am too lazy to do the math for the class to see where I landed there lol. But a fun weekend of driving! My video of my fast lap at the track Friday sucks because I did not check the exposure, and with the top up, it washed out pretty badly

Video of my fastest autox run yesterday here

And my sucky "shoulda checked the exposure" track vid here. Will need to do something different next time! so this one is probably not super interesting due to that. Also, my Track Addict setup using phone gps is not cutting it. Note how the speed input freaks out for a bit jumping up and down, when in reality the throttle is pinned through those first two long corners. Will need to grab a GPS nugget for future use. This lap was on A052's and I was running my other trunk lid with the APR wing on it.

Taken at Roebling Road Raceway in early July with NASA-SE.
I competed in TT5, ended up winning both days.
My best time that weekend was a 1:20.105.
TT5 record is 1:19.499.. So close.. With cooler weather and fresh set of tires I should be able to dip into the 19s and hopefully break the record.
Running the new RC1-R2s
