Black CR's look best because the bottom part of the bumper matches the rest of the car. On different color CR's the black bottom portion makes the front end look higher then it really is. That is why lowered CR's really set off the lip. If you color match the bottom portion this will add to the lowered look.
It does make my car look higher than it actually is in the front, but I still would not color match it.
