There won't be any solid data. They're all within spitting difference, but "the right tire" will depend on your driving style / preference, ambient temp, car settings, track surface, etc.

That's what I was afraid of.

This is why I decided the right street tire for me was the cheapest one - RS3's

Some of the newer breed tires such as the BFG and Dunlop Z2 have focused on making the cars handle better (I know this is obvious) and with that, they have created a tire that will essentially increase your ride stiffness and reduce the need for stiffer springs. I definitely saw a need to reduce compression settings b/t RS3s and Z2s to keep the rear in check along with reducing rear swaybar stiffness(gendron). The BFGs may have more slip angle, but you might have to change your setup to really see the benefits.

With no other experience of tires on my 98 M3 other than crappy staggered Kuhmo all seasons, I went with RE11As on my square AutoX/DD wheels for the better DD manners as they might see more DD miles than I used to give my race tires on my S2000. I can already tell that they are better over cracks than the ZIIs were on my S2000 (I know that's not exactly Apples to apples though). RS3s were better over cracks than ZIIs were in my S2000 as well though. More hum came from the RS3s though. wait, who cares about DD tires lol!

no experience with the AD07 or 8 but if the "r" comes down in price, they might get a work out on my race only wheels. The video appears to say that more tunning might be needed to take advantage of the tires. This may sway my decision away from these tires if that's truely the verdict.

I had a couple of sets of AD08's (ie. before R) during the time I tried almost every tire out there including SSZ1, RS3, RE11, R1R, Rivals and now D2's. The AD08's were the sharpest for turn in feel followed closely by the D2's now but gave up the ghost in terms of ultimate grip fair too easily. If the AD08R are truly a much more different compound, I could see trying them but if not it would be a waste of time. For those interested, there were vendors who were appreciably less expensive than TR.

The AD08R IMHO is on par with the Z2 and Rival for grip having driven all three tires this year. The RE11A I tried for a few runs and thought was 1/2 step off the pace.

That's no different than any other summer tire.

FWIW, I'm running a set of these on our 981 CS and love em. They feel like a less peaky Z2. Great absolute grip. I just hope they follow Hankooks and upgrade from 180 to 200 TW within the next year or two.
I wouldn't hold your breath about the TW. Spoke with their Motorsports Manager hoping to gain further info about the tire. Solo is not on their radar at this time or for the near future. He had run their contingency program in the past and very few ran the AD08.

As for their performance, how would you compare it's temperature range to the others?

I wasn't talking about just solo. Some road course orgs (LeChump) have a 200TW cutoff too. Although those guys would do the cheapest tire and not pick yoks.

It seems like they are pretty good in the cool. Kind of like Z2s. Haven't had a chance to try overheating them yet.

Do you still have access to talking to him? At the time it was an inferior tire and was significantly more expensive. If this is as good as they say it is then maybe it'll do better with more solo people running them.
