Yoko Road Race Tires - better than Stock S0-2's for track?
#2
Are you asking how much faster a set of Yoko A032R R-compound Dot legal tires will be than your stock Yoko 046's, which you think are about the same as S02's?
Hmmm... Just a few variables there!
On my car A032R's where worth about 2-3 seconds over S02's on a tight, technical track with lap times around 1:25, or a little less than 3%.
If you do go with R-compounds, Yoko's are far from the fastest. Most people prefer Kuhmo's, Hoosiers, or Toyo's to the Yoko. If you plan on running them on the street as well, I'd see if they make the Toyo RA1 in your size and go for that.

Yes, they are expensive but they're supposed to be a decent tire. I don't believe they're better than RA-1's for example, but they do have the right wear rating so it might be the only option for you if you must have R compounds.
