Great time. I'm still not up to the speed I should be (best lap was only a 1:32.91) but I was there specifically for the practice.
Prior to this event I had maybe 5 sessions at WSIR w/ only 3 being in my own car.

Gas, Gas wasn't the problem. I'm flat for 8 and got 9 down pat.
In particular I never got out of 5 well, and I brake too much for 1 and 3. I think its mainly 1 and 5 that are killing my times.

Turn 1 is tricky; I've done probably 100 laps at Willow and never feel like I've really nailed it. Part of it was some bad advice I got early on - that you want to apex on the Botts dots. Maybe in a really high HP car, but not in the S2000! I worked on apexing earlier and earlier, and as exit speeds went up (mid to upper 90's indicated in Dave's car), laptimes went down.
5 takes discipline and is a little tricky due to it being off-camber. You have to slow down plenty, for the sooner you can get flat out on exit, the faster you'll be through the 6/7/8 straightaway complex.
Got video?
