Andy said his car weighed in at 2615 lbs. And thats still stock legal so maybe just maybe 500lbs could be done and still be liveable. I doubt it though. You can loose almost 50 on the exhaust and somehow andy got another almost 150lbs out of wheels, tires and draining fluids.

i think 13.5 is possible with a cai and some weight reduction.

The Z06 got a 12.12 in the quarter with a 114.9 trap speed -- sounds more like a case of a really fast modded Z3 than a slow-off-the-mark Z06.

I refused to do burnouts and did a 60 foot of 2.1xxx and you see the info in my sig...

Does that include on the launch? what rpm did you launch at?

500 pounds

I doubt there is any way to keep an s2000 street legal and remove 500 pounds from it. Most of the weights is from the massive frame and unless you want to shave and cut it!!!!!

I believe 200-250 pounds is probably a high estimate of what can be done while remaining streetable considering that most s2ks are in the 2700-2750 pound range.

6-7k launches is all it took. With a burnout, you get better grip off the lien, I never did one and my best 60 foot was 2.0xxx, there was a guy who was doing burn outs at my local track and he was getting 60 foots in the 1.89-2.0 range and getting 13.7-13.8 times at 101-103 mph with a completely stock s2000.

Wanted to bump this, as I'm also curious:

Just curious, what fluid, besides gas and wiper fluid can one drain to lose weight and race safely?
