Default Where to race your S2K in Endurance events?

I have been around sprint format racing for almost 10 years, and while the racing is intense, I am a little more interested in racing my S2k in endurance events. I am having trouble finding a place/organization that does this for amateurs. I know of two endurance events: the 13 hour 'Charge of the Headlight Brigade' race at VIR and the 25 hrs of Thunderhill. Both of these are amateur events and just what I am looking for, but there have to be some in the middle of the country. I am in the Rocky's and driving 24 hrs to Virginia isn't exactly what I would like to do, 20 hrs the other way is about the same, but I might consider doing that some day because the 25hr is a little more prestigious, and seems to attract a wider range of competitors.

Any help would be great!
Thanks

Have you checked with the NASA Rocky Mountain Region? The RM and Central region typically do endurance races a few times a year (2-6 hours). They just did a 6 hour race at High Plains last weekend. I will say attendance isn't anything near a Thunderhill event, but it's something within your region.

You can run your car in chump car in the EC class.
Several teams have raced in chump for practice in 25hr thunderhill and other larger enduros.
