Default Where to park trailered S2K at Laguna Seca

This is a repost from the Bay Area S2000 Owners forum...

I'll be participating in the Jan 19-20 NASA HPDE at Laguna Seca. I need to be in Bakersfield earlier that week (I live in Martinez). I'd like to drop off my trailered S2k in Monterey on my way down, then pick it up that Friday. My preference is keeping it at the track, but haven't heard back from them whether they have short-term secure storage available. mmagic suggested the local Honda dealer. Any other thoughts on where to store for about 3 days?

Laguna is in a state park and last time I was there, they had a big parking lot that was open during the day.. I stored my car there for two days. If you look on the map, it's the blue shaded area on the inside of turn 5, where it says "foot bridge"

The park closes at night and there were a few other cars parked on trailers when I showed up.

Are you sure? I thought it was a county park.

yes its a county park, but that doesn't really matter. Its a crap shoot, sometimes they let you store sometimes no. is it an enclosed trailer? You could park it down the street from my house in Santa Cruz but that's 45-60 minutes north of laguna.

It'll be on an open trailer. If I can get into the lot inside Laguna Seca, that would work. I may also call our hotel to keep it parked there for a couple days, or the local Honda dealer.
