Where to dispose of old brake rotors?

I've always thown them in my trash. Never too many at once so that my can wasn't too heavy. Most co's have a weight limit, beyond that they aren't hazardous material so you don't need to call anyone.
They are very unlikly to do any damage to any of the hydrolics on the dump truck.

Well, my town's trash contractor said "as long as it fits in the plastic container (automatic pick up type), you can throw your brake discs in there." So that's where they're going. I didn't say how many I had .

Yup, mine go in the dumpster too.
I tried a couple of times to put them in the recycle bin, but the recycle guy just pulled them out and tossed them on the grass.
I could take them to a metal salvage yard near me and maybe get a few pennies back, but I ain't waisting the time...

The way they rust, I'm thinking of just leaving them in the backyard somewere. They would probably reduce to a pile of rust in a month or two. I have about 8 cases of oil (used) sitting in the back too. I need to drop that off at a recycle center.
