Default Wheels/tires that fit AP2

Hey gang, I got another s2000. It's my street car I won't be racing it competitively, but for sh*ts and giggles will make it out to an occasional track day. What's the recommended wheel set up that I can stick under this bad boy to crank out some decent laptimes and hold my own against p-car buddies? Would 245/275 combo fit ap2 with stock suspension w/o rubbing? what offsets & wheel widths should I be shopping for? I searched but couldn't find the info. Planning to run DOTs so I can stay with 17's.

I autocross with 245/275 combo, and I had some rubbing on the front left with stock shocks. I wouldn't want to try that on a track.

When I tracked my S2000, I used 235/45-17 front and 255/40-17 rear RA-1's. This worked very well. On stock AP2 wheels.

Beating most Porsches at track days isn't even a sport, and is largely independent of your choice of tire size. OTOH, a well-driven, well set up late model 911, Boxster S or Cayman will blow your drawers off regardless of your tire choice.

well my friend is pretty quick in an old 911 race car so i have to come prepared. i'm usually no slouch either, so just want to make sure i get the most rubber i can. 235/45-17 not too tall? 235/40 seems like it would be a better fit. there are some tires that come in that size.

thanks for the info.
