Wheel setup for track (CP8350 calipers)
Hi guys
I'm currently using 245/40/17 AR1s on 17x9 +63 wheels. This is fine since I use the stock front calipers.
I recently ordered the Essex-AP Racing Competition Brake Kit from Urge (CP8350 Calipers), so now I have started looking for wheels that will clear the new calipers.
The wheels I like are: Advan TC-4, Titan 7 T-R10, Weds TC105x.
I'm thinking of going either 17x9.5 (with 255/40/17) or 18x9.5 (255/35/18 or 265/35/18) square.
The question now is.. what offset will clear the calipers without spacers? Which wheel provides more space for the brakes? Any other options apart from these (maybe Rays)? I would prefer to avoid using fender flares, but if it's the only way to go, I'm ok with it.
Usage of the car: 95% trackdays and time attacks. 5% driving to reach the track

No good clear answers for this one, not too many people run this kit - it's one of the harder BBKs to fit - even less clearance than the StopTech ST40 or C43 calipers.
The main difficulty is the small diameter rotor, which ends up pulling the caliper much closer to the center of the hub. You need a wheel with a very flat spoke design and minimal concave.
I think you'll have a very good chance of clearing with the Titan7, worst case scenario, it might be close and you'll have to run a minimal spacer (3mm) or so.
As far as wheel diameter, keep it at 17" unless you plan to run tires wider than 255. I wouldn't step up the wheel size to 18" for 265s either - 285 to 295 sized tires makes 18" wheels worth it, but it's a lot of work to make those wheels fit.

URGE has a list of wheels that will clear the kit on their website, some of which clear without spacers. They also have a template you can print out and use to check if you have a wheel you can test it on. Maybe a shop you're looking to do business with can check for you. I really wanted to run this kit but I also didn't want to run spacers so I ended up getting something else.
