what size wheels and tires u prefer for race track

Start with the tires and the choice would be Toyo RA1's shaved. Because of the sizes available, first choice would be 16" (225/245). For 17's, the ideal sizes would be 225/45 - 255/40, but RA1's don't come in 225/45, so you would have to go 235/45 - 255/40 or 235/45 - 275/40 (some rubbing).

I agree about the Toyo RA-1s, but not all of us like the 225/55-16 upfront. With a stock suspension plus additional bracing I prefer the 205/55-16 up front and the 245/45 in the back.

Please excuse the not-knowing-esque of me but... when running 16x7 and 16x8 wheels with stock suspension, what effect does 225/50 up front have on the car as opposed to running 205/55 with stock suspension? Thanks guys...

If you're new to DEs (or don't know what DE stands for ), you'd be much, muuuuuuuuch better off skipping getting new wheels and tires, and spending that money on some instructed sessions instead. A good driver on street rubber will murder a newbie driver on race rubber.
