It all comes down to personal choice. I would suggest you try on as many as possible as getting the correct fitment is crucial to comfort . After wearing Sparco and Arai for years I have recently switched to Bell as I found their helmets to be the most comfortable and best fitting for me personally of the current crop.
There as lot of quality makes available like..
Bell
Arai
Sparco
OMP
Stilo

Jegs has some their Bell SA05 helmets on sale. Here is their full face one.

They also have a few open face Bell SA05s on sale for 122.99. I just ordered one of them.

Looks like Bell is having a closeout on SA05 helmets, with more models.

For autocross, I use an open faced HJC M rated helmet - better peripheral vision than an SA rated helmet, and it's a little more comfortable and easier to deal with, since I wear glasses. Also cheap - I think I paid $75 for it.
For the track (and LeMons), I have a Bell SA rated full face.

Shop for fit first and foremost.
I have a Simpson that I was able to try on at the Simpson factory in San Marcos and fits me better than any other helmet I've owned(the previous models were bought from SafeRacer online by using their measurement data). I would highly recommend buying something you can try on first.

Just go down to one of the many motorcycle shops in the area and keep trying until you find a model that fits your head. If you plan on doing HPDE, then spend more time finding a helmet that fits well, since you will have it on for 20+ minutes at a time.
I picked this one up over the summer at MotoGP if you haven't seen it yet. Extremely over priced if you are just using it for auto-x.

I would never have bought one without trying it on.

Had an early Xmas this year. My wonderful wife who grudgingly supports my auto-x endeavors gave me a Bell Sportmag open face helmet (SA2010) in white. Apparently, she is planning on giving me a red kerchief to wear around my neck, so I will look like "Speed Racer" on course.
Of course, I have not worn it during an event, but it looks and feels like a high quality product. I like the sun visor with the tinted lip.
