I run a HJC AR-10. Snell 2010 and a good price oin it at winecountrymotorsports.com

I picked up 2 G-Force helmets for me and my girlfriend a few years back.

I bought the open face helmet as it provides the best visibility, but they have closed as well. No issues, very comfortable.

I got mine from summitracing.com, only a hair over $100 for an open face helmet.

i use my motorcycle helmet.

i have 2 sharks. rsi and rs2r

love them.

open face g-force!
has the ratings you need and is the cheapest. you can't beet the visibility with an open face design

Shop for fit first and foremost. You won't notice things like weight or ventilation over the course of a minute-long autocross run. Likewise, the odds of you hitting your head hard enough during an autocross run for your helmet to matter are infinitesimally small.

Some people like open-face helmets, some people think they look goofy.

Agreed with both the comments that, for autocross only, a motorcycle helmet is more than good enough (and gives you more color / design options), but if you think you'll ever do a track day, spend the extra bucks to get an SA-rated lid.

+1 for the HJC AR-10. I bought mine from http://www.helmetshop.com/

got it for ~250 shipped back in april

i don't know how you guys buy online without check actual fitting....
i tried more than 5 helmets in the shop until i found one which felt OK.
