Went To The Track Last Night.
Well last night i decided to take the S to the ATCO. i decided that it will be better for me to experiment their than on the roads. So i payed my 13$ and pulled up to the pit and lowered my tire pressure from 32psi to 17psi. Ive raced my old eclipse their before, so im used to the strip and how it goes.
Now im sitting on the line, nervous as anything. The tree clocked down, and the revs were up to 5500, and i poped the clutch and went. 14.8@96. i dont think that was bad for my 1st time racing the s2000. ive had her for two months, and im still not fully used to it. the other 2 runs i did were 15.0's.
If i was able to concentrate more, i think i would have had a lower time. for some reason im not comfortable on the strip, and i get very nervous. my shifting isn;t smooth like on the street. my goal was a 14.0, im glad i was in the high 14.0s though. the weather was also pretty humid out.
So did i do good for the 1st time? whats the avg. 1/4 time everyone usually gets? anyone have any advice for me? next time im going to dump i at 6,000rpm i think, and nail my shifts down to a science. hopefully ill be a 14.00.

You'll prolly need more revs launching to keep the engine in VTEC. Obviously, it depends on grip so try 6500 next, keep it to the floor unless there's wild spinning and keep the engine from falling out of VTEC.
