Default Weird rear brake pad wear

So as I have been getting faster I've been pushing the brakes further and further. Currently running carbotech xp10/8. The rear pads have been wearing funny now. The inside edge of the piston side pad is worn to limit while outside edge still has 2 mm remaining. The outside pad inner edge has 2mm and the outer has 1.

It seems like the caliper is bending at the bolts and flexing causing this. Has anyone had this problem before. I will try to post pics soon

Uneven pad wear--inside to outside and front of pad to the rear of the pad is pretty normal. Keeping the caliper pins greased can help minimize it but there is no cure using the stock calipers.

Rob,

Do you have any reccomendations for caliper lube? Is the stock Honda lube sufficient?

I usually clean and relube the calipers after each track day, It probably isn't required but I like to go through inspecting/checking the car quite a bit post track day. I only do 3-4 lapping days a year with not too aggressive brake pads (yet).

I've always used generic high temp grease so I can't comment on the Honda or anything that might be better.

Cool, thanks. I have been using a high temp Amsoil grease.

Make sure you are lining up the rear pads with the little pin on the caliper. I had a brake shop not pay attention to that and got very uneven wear.

you can always grind off those "pins" on the backs of the pads that go on the inside so you can swap the pads inside and out
