After he went off-track for that initial brief moment, he was way more concerned about putting distance between you and him than properly harnessing the power of his motor.

you can see his lines are horrible..... was he a noob? neat that they took the car on the track, but probably should have started in a rental mustang until they could figure out how to hit a few lines....

New to the track; though not new to racing. He's had a competition license since the '90s.
His lines, other than going too deep in the turn where he first goes off, are not bad. For the most part he drove good lines. The issue was more that he relied far too much on high power in the straights and overslowed the car too much in the corners.
No doubt though that if the driver was pushing the car harder through the corners ... I wouldn't have had a chance.
