I'm tempted to make the jump to Motons.

Hey Chris,

When you gonna -race- that car? I'm pretty sure he'll get the Motons from Tony.

The lower control arm attachment points up front were separating from the car. All welded up now.

Engine mounts were also a mess and needed to be replaced. I'll take some pics when I get a chance.

Suspension is all a part waiting for the mono-ball control arms and Motons to arrive from TC Designs:

Turbo install is nearly complete. Just a few items to wrap up including sensors and boost control solenoid.

Interior is all torn apart ... still needs more stripping!

Hopefully all the suspension components will arrive early enough next week, so the car can be back together in time for dyno tune on Fri.

Mike, don't you have a flash on your camera?

Are they dark on your PC? It's a Nikon D70s with a Speedlight SB-800 flash.

My control arms returned from TC Design today reworked with monoballs. Wow ... Tony does beautiful work.

Closer shot:

Same shipment also included the Moton tripple turnkey setup from Tony. Also very nice.

Diff fluid had metal chunks in it. Turns out it was from the LSD. Can't see it very well in the shot, but many of the front edges of the gears in this shot are missing. I've been running with a rear sway bar and getting lot's of inside rear wheel lift, which is the likely culprit here.

Even though the removal of the rear sway bar will likely prevent the same problem in the future, I needed something very quick (as in overnight) and what I was able to get is the Quaife. The have a lifetime warranty on these things ... and insist it still applies for my car even though I'm racing it.

The CCW wheel spacer that John made so I can run same 18x10 wheel all around was f'cked up. Diameter of the portion that fits over the hub was sized to the rear hub, rather than to the front hub. I overnighted it back to him months ago for it to be reworked. Over a months delay in getting it back ... and when I test fit it onto the car today ... it's still f'cked up. Shop that is doing the work on the car for me is going to machine it. It pisses me off that after two attempts CCW couldn't get it right.

Hopefully the car will be all wrapped up in time for dyno tuning this Sat.
