I have the exact same items removed as you... My car and I weigh in at 2784 with a half tank of gas. I plan to reinstall the stock exhaust to save the points and put the weight back on at the lowest point of the car.

Who is going to make it out to Miller next year for nationals?
I can't see that far ahead, but I have in-laws that live in Ogden(about 45minutes from the track). So while it would be a monsterous haul, I'm not ruling it out.

I'm in the same boat... relatives in Park City, but that is a haul!

I'll probably be way over that. I mean what can you really remove that will drop some significant weight and get you back close to that number even with driver in the car? I figure the bolt-ons should drop me close to a 100lbs. the rims should shed some weight too, but other then that there isn't much else that can be done without adding points.....except get on a treadmill
but isnt your car on 07?? if so you can only be @ 2855 unless you take points for the weight loss, or am i wrong?

your correct. I'm trying to figure out how to get it back to about that weight with my fat ass in it! The 2855 rule is including the driver, and I'm an additional 215lbs in the car.

Don't forget the passenger seat. It's heavy and obviously very easy to remove.

Any idea when the rules usually come out? I'm still up in the air for TT next year, but if I decide to do it and finally fully spec the car out, I don't want the rules to change on me post-build.

Good luck with the last part! One guy last year was building an S2000 to compete only to find they added an additional +7 to the base classing.

I'm guessing the rules will be published Jan 15.

If this is true then I'm going to what till the rules are out before jumping forward with anything.
