Rookie Mike Gagliardo was killed Sunday at Mosport during a Trams Am event. Apparently he was T-boned by a car at full speed after he and another car spun off and ended up back on the track. It's been an ugly 13 months..Petty, Roper, Erwin, Earnhardt, Wolleck, Alboreto, Gagliardo...I hope that's it for a LONG while.

The other driver is in critical condition. Our prayers are with both drivers and their loved ones.

and that doesn't even include the track workers who were killed at the races, I know of at least two in F1 alone, and the one the week after Alboreto on the same track.

This is a sad time for racing.
