Default Tracking the car with OEM brake fluid & engine oil

My bone stock S has ~2,500 miles on the odometer, and still has the factory oil, and brake fluid and pads. Is that too early to track the car (in a HPDE event, probably one with four 30-minute sessions)?

Or should I wait until next oil change (to move to synthetic) and change my brake fluid? I'm not sure if the conventional oil (and maybe even Honda brake fluid) will start breaking down in an event like that.

Thanks.

Your brake fluid will turn to moosh. I would exchange it for motul or ATE. I don't know what to recomend about the oil. If it was me, I'd just switch out to some non-synth oil. I'd also install some track worthy pads and bed them properly the day before the event.

oil is not a concern. OE brake fluid is a bad idea. OE pads will be gone at or before the end of the day. You should use race brake fluid (ATE super blue is what I prefer) and race pads (hawk, cobalt, etc.). Everything else is fine.

True ... the fluid would probably boil pretty soon after the event starts

I was more concerned about the engine oil.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

OEM stuff isn't that bad really. I used OEM oil, brake fluids, and pads for 3 full track events with no problems. Although by my 4th event my pads were completely done and brake fluids boiled within 1 session.

I used the OEM pads and fluid for my first track day. The pads were fine, as I was learning the car and not pushing super hard, but the fluid boiled even at 3/4 speed on PIR, which in my opinion isn't very hard on brakes. I'd say trash the fluid and buy some uprated pads. Oil should be fine.

My first 3 track events were with OEM stuff and I never had a problem and much less fade that the drivers of other cars.

I upped it just to be on the safe side.

The brakes were great! But 13,000 miles, 3 track events and several autocrosses later I finally had to change them.
