Car running, transmission seems to be working now. Thanks for asking.
I fixed it doing the opposite of what the experts said to do, and it seemed to work. The most prominant expert has a bet with me that it wont last the weekend at Laguna. Ill have to hope he is wrong.

Do you have spare parts ready just in case? I remember from back in my 87 3.2L/G50 days that Pelican Parts used to have some Porsche recycled parts in stock...

We'll be ready to assist so you don't have any excuses
