What front swaybar?

225/45 is not the right size for the wheels. It will be very difficult to mount any sort of high performance tire with stiff, short sidewalls on a narrow wheel. Why not ask in the appropriate forum (Tire and Wheel)?

For autox, I have 225/50/16 on the front. Mounting was no problem so I'd suspect 225/45 wouldn't be any (or at least much) harder to mount.

BTW, I also have 225/50 street tires on the front.

So do I. The difference between /50/ and /45/ is not insignificant when you're already well below the minimum acceptable rim width.

It depends...

Do you like a lot of oversteer or a really lot of oversteer? Neither setup will be safe on the road.

Stick with a 205F/245R setup.

I don't agree... in my experience the 205/245 setup may even push a hair with the stock bar and certainly does with a larger front bar.

The only down side I have seen to the 225/245 setup is that some tires with softer sidewall will react a little slow with the 225 front on such a narrow wheel.

I will stick to the 225/245 setup for my car, street and track.
