Tire Pressure - RS3
#5
depends on tire size, wheel width, alignment and suspension set up... With my Custom Koni's, 700f/600R # springs, saner front bar, no rear bar, -2.8f/-2.2r camber, .4 total rear toe in, 0 front toe, 9in wide wheels with 255/40/17 at all 4 corners: 38-40psi front and 35-36psi rear (depending on surface conditions)
same setup but with 245/40/17's 34-36psi front, 32-34psi rear (again depending on surface conditions)
all pressure's hot

I normally run 36/34 on a grippy lot. Granted I'll go much lower depending on the surface. For example when I race at EKU (local lot) I'll run as low as 31F/29R. My pressures are based on tire roll over. I allow the tire roll over until the wear mark is right at the tip of the triangles. That way I know I'm using all of the available "good rubber". Sharing tire pressures is almost completely pointless. All gauges read different. For example this guy said he was running 29psi in the front tires of his STS car based on his gauge. He used my $200 gauge and said it showed 34psi. Go figure he was off pace that day.
