Thanks for the tips!
Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about auto-x tips... I ran yesterday with the CENLA group and had a great time. True to form, on my first run I thought the car felt incredible... soon after that thought, I spun it almost completely around. No real warning - not like it got loose - it just spun. It was fun and rediculous.
Run 2 - a slow drive. Runs 3-4 picked up the pace. Run 4, the car felt great, sliding it around a very little bit - very predictable. I wish I could comment about the understeer that someone had commented on - but truth be told, I can barely remember my runs that specifically.
Thanks also to Dustin (pOpe) who took me on a roller coaster ride in his Hooseir shod S. It was fun as hell, and showed me how to do things (shaved 3 seconds off my lap times).

Was it cold for you guys yesterday? We autoxed here in Dallas, and temps were hovering around the 60'F -- I couldn't get heat built up in the tires. It was so damn slick -- I couldn't get enough grip to do a good lap. Everytime I added gas, it was sideways...
AP1 here BTW -- stock SO2s in front, All seasons in the rear (Previous owner...Sigh).

Yeah, it was a little chilly - prob lower 60's. Plus it was sprinkling in the morning. I was running REO50s all around - and spun in grand fashion taking out about 5 cones. Epic.
There was a guy there, Ken, who ran an AP1 with Hoosiers, and he used tire warmer/insulators between runs. It was pretty cool - they obviously worked since he was fastest by a 4+ second margin.
