Sway Bars + Braking
Hey guys- even though this is not a racing specific question I figured you guys would be more knowledgeable regarding suspensions. I drive over bumpy roads and my front tires lift when braking over uneven pavement. I was wondering if a stiffer front sway bar would help improve my braking traction.

Just the opposite. You need a softer sway bar to allow proper articulation of the suspension so that it is always in contact with the road.
I am not familiar with your Buddy Club coilovers, but if there is a compression damping setting, try to set it lower to allow your suspension to absorb the uneven pavement.
Another problem could be the lack of droop allowed by your coilovers. Coilovers with stiff springs often lack adequate droop travel for street driving, so the tires lift off the ground more easily.

Regarding the front compression setting, if the wheels are leaving the pavement and the car is steady, increase the compression damping. If the whole front of the car is bouncing, soften it, or perhaps consider whether the car is too low for your spring rates and is hitting the bump stops when braking over bumps.

Thanks guys. I feel the supsension travel is too low in the rear, but I "feel" it's ok in the front. It's annoying because it works great on most Jersey roads but driving through Manahttan and Brooklyn gets a little unnerving when you go from 75-0 every 30 seconds on those war-torn looking roads. I'll mess with the settings a bit . . .
