SV S2000 Challenge #10 - Big Track at Willow Springs July 12th!
Hi all!
Our next event is Friday, July 12th, 2002
Price: $120 (+$20 instructor fee required for novices)
Duration: 1 day / 2.5 hours of track time per group!*
Track: Willow Springs Big Track (near Lancaster, CA)
Registration: Registration is open
Event Info:
Willow Springs is "The fastest track in the West", one of the few tracks where a fast street car can break 140mph. From the thrill of speeding through turn 8 at 120+mph to the "pucker factor" of getting the infamous turn 9 right, WSIR offers high-speed thrills found on few other tracks anywhere.
We will be running the full track in the clockwise direction (the only configuration normally run at Willow). As usual, we will be running three run groups, with five sessions per group, 30 minutes per session. Details on the day's schedule are available here.
Please note that some form of rollover protection is required at this track for convertibles. Cars equipped with stock hoops (S2000's, Z3's, etc.) are fine.
For registration and more information, see our website at http://speedventures.net/7-12-2002_event.asp

I'm in like Flynn.
Never run there before. Standing in the paddock at the Streets, turn 8 looks very fun.
Any of our Nor. Cal. brethren making the trip down? dt.'s out with #4 problems, but Strike's got race tires, Doug's getting new shocks, and jzr re-gapped his spark plugs...who will be the victor in Mod-R??? Find out Friday on the next exciting episode of Speedventures!

well, I'm waiting on a buddy so, you can probably count in another s2k and either a e46M3 or a e30M3(CCA prepped race car).
Is there a charge for rental of a transponder? So there are only 7 s2ks and 36 other cars signed up?
