Suspension Question for track experts

Suspension Question for track experts
Hey everyone,
The only suspension mods I have right now is the x brace and tein RA coilovers. I read that removing the stock rear strut bar actually helps in handling? This would reduce oversteer correct? also.. do we actually need beefier sway bars?
I was just wondering how you track experts run your car (in terms of sway bar and strut bar and brace configuration).
Thanks in advance!

FYI, no one has ever shown the X-brace to be of any value whatsoever on the track. And I think you are confusing the rear sway bar with the rear shock mount strut.

probably the answer your gona get from most of the people on here is to go to the track and see what you think needs fixed.
Ive seen big front sways, stock front sways with no rear sway, different spring rates, shock settings, staggered tires, non staggered tires, R-comps, street tires, rear wings, front spliters, bump steer kits etc
a better more specific question with get a much better answer but you will have probably answered it yourself with some more time on the track

zyr, it is rather difficult to obtain a solid answer to a question such as yours because suspension adjustments will differ greatly from driver to driver. Different drivers will have varying suspension setups. In my experience, I have found that aggressive alignment settings almost negate the need for a sway bar but other's opinions may vary. I have for the sake of knowledge thought about removing the rear sway bar but with my current alignment settings, I would imagine that it will greatly enhance my already understeering ride.

I'm running and have been running the same set of Tein RAs for at least three years. Don't ask me what the settings are, cause I gave up fiddling with them long ago. I find it much easier to adjust my driving than dial in suspension (not that the RAs can be adjusted very much). My car is proof that you can still be fast around a course even with a ****ed up suspension that's not dialed in properly at all. Asura, Rob...care to chime in?
If the rear tire is lifting off the ground, remove the rear sway. If not, leave it on there. I'm running an X-Brace, too...it helped a lot when I ran over a big hunk of metal on the freeway. Other than that, it's just weight that we don't need and it's coming off soon.
I really wouldn't worry about suspension setup if you're running stock or street tires. Put some fat R compounds on the car and everything is going to change dramatically anyways.

Your Tein RAs are horrible. I don't know how you did a 1:58 with the alignment being so WAY off. I won't even get into the understeer. I'd hate to see what you'll do with a dialed car, some tuner friendly shocks, and a wee bit more POWer
