I doubt anyone's bought a rig like that just for autocross, though -- all the ones I know of are owned by road racing teams, and just moonlight transporting autocross cars.

It happens. Scotty White (Team Naykid) used to bring his cars to national-level events in a transporter (there's a bit of it here). My car hitched a ride to Nationals in a similar transporter one year.
