Street tire for Solo 2?
Hi guys,
I was thinking I was going to replace my S-02's with Falken Azenis's when they were worn out out, but I just found out the Falkens aren't made in the sizes I was looking for. Anybody have any ideas? How are the Khumo Ecsta 712? I'm looking to run a 225/245 combo. Azenis aren't going to work unless I run 205/215 which might be goofy.
This is going to be for Solo 2's SK1 class. I am interested purely in dry grip and they can't be real racing tires.
Thanks,
Robin.

A preliminary investigation leads me to the Bridgestone S-03 which comes in a good variety of sizes. Even the S-02 comes only in the 205/225 combo. BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KD's only come in 205/225 as well, and also the name is too long.
Is it worth sacrificing tire width for a stickier compound?
Nobody seems to make tires in 16 inches anymore.

I have to agree. The stock S02's have better dry grip than the S03's ( I currently have 17" S03's for the street)
Also the stock size S02's are a well balanced combo, if you change to the 225/245 combo you will begin to see some of the oversteer others get when they swap to race tires. Which means you will have to get a stiffer front bar.
Just something to think about.
