Street S2k Sub 2 Min. Buttonwillow Video

Your driving was very smooth overrall! This always contributes to a fast lap. It looked as though the car became a little unsettled going over the berms(sp?), or was that a loose camera mount?

Thanks everyone! I am no means a master of driving. It shows how well the S2000 is engineered for the street and track.
My car is still street driven 50% of the week and LEV compliant. Its also very quiet as my Fujitsubo is nearly silent as a stock exhaust.

Update: 2 years and 4 months later... finally broke the 2 min. barrier with street tires on CW 13 at Buttonwillow.
The goal was to create a street focused S2000 that can chase almost any car on the track while using street tires. This meant that the car had a daily driver in a city like SF and retain all interior / carpet / AC / Stereo while using only a rear wing (no front splitter or rear diffusor) as an aero aid to keep the OEM look.
Some of the Specs: (OEM otherwise)
Power Mods: 60mm Kent Street Exhaust (no drone on the road.. ultra quiet!), OEM Clutch
Suspension: HKS Hyper Max III Sport (single adj.: Very Easy to setup!!)
Brakes: Project Mu Racing 999 w/ Spoon cailpers on Generic OEM Rotors. Project Mu Brake fluid. (excellent pad and fluid)
Wheels: 17x9 Volk RE30 w/ 255/40/17 Nitto NT05 street tires (200 Tread Wear Rating)
Aero: CR front lip & Voltex Rear Wing with Kels S2000 Spec. Risers
Interior: Recaro SPG (yes.. every car I owned.. had Recaro) and Cusco 4 Point (came with the car..)
oh.. and Alignment: Done at Evasive Motorsports
Audio: Pioneer Premier deck with 2 Ch. Amplifier and Alpine Component Speakers....
G2X Data-Logger.. 4 years in the running. The data shows that my driving was bit messy as I woke up at 3:30 (2 hr sleep) to drive to the track and instructed two students all day...)
Nitto NT05
My definition of a street S2000... while keeping reliability and stealthy looks. (stock trunk for the street)
I am sure I am the first owner/driver of a street S2000 that broke the 2 Min. at BW for both Street / R Compound tires.
