Thinking of running 255/35/18 on a 18x8.5 rim +55 next year. You guys think the front will have clearance issue? I used to run a similar setup in my old car and really liked the feel of the lower profile tire.

Yeah your gonna have to at least roll the fronts to run that I am pretty sure. I ran a 18x8 +42 and it was danger to fenders zone at stock height. Maybe if you ran a lot of negative camber it might work.

Wow, with R-S3s the prices is $100 more per tire. Well at least they will be in stock.

You should actually be pretty good, especially since they're 8.5" width. I know people running +55 with 17x9 and it's not much different than the +63 that most people are running.

The car I codrove at nationals was pretty much that - 17x9 +55, 255/40/17 dunlops, I'd guess around 13" hub center to fender (might have been slightly higher but definitely not much), and 3 degrees camber or slightly lower. I think Nick Jackson was running the same thing, not sure what his ride height was at that time.
