If someone honestly protested that they are a winnie. Good luck selling your over priced STR wheels robert, I'm sure you'll sell them very quickly after just pointing out 50% of all the people in STR are illegal.
If you go to your accountant's, and he tells you you owe money on your taxes, do you throw a fit and call him a "winnie"?
Do you often deal with your life problems by throwing a fit and calling the messenger a "winnie"?
Personally, I think that someone who realizes that a part may be illegal, and mentions it in a broad public forum, is doing the community a favor. That way research can be done, a consensus opinion can be formed, and corrective action can be taken if necessary, *before* it matters. Would you rather he sat on the information until someone got DSQ-ed from a big event without even realizing they were running an illegal part?
....what a little MINX

Thankyou Matt, Colin and everyone who responded maturely to me bringing this up.
It was brought up out of my own want to be compliant with the rules. I dont think any of us would bring it up under protest, but were not the only cars out there.
To those of you who didnt respond maturely and positively (josh7owens) maybe you should find another forum. were all working here toward the same goal.

Either way though I think the lower ball joints is such a better option I'm not sure why everyone wouldn't go that route anyway?

Robert be nice
I want the same thing everyone else does, "keeping the s2000 at the top of STR." It's good that you talked about this so that people can research it and make sure it's legal but if it ends up being illegal alot of people are going to be upset. Thats all I have to say. I don't have the SPC ball joints so I can't do any measurments to help answer the question.

Yes many people will be upset, me very much included. however that is not justification to just ignore the issue.

So sorry for spelling weeny "Winnie", I don't think it deserves a whole page of talking about it. Thank you Zeus, could you please follow me around this forum and spell check everything I post? Do I need to pay you a monthly payment using PayPal for your services? What would I do without you? I'm done arguing about spelling, it's not that big of a deal.
Spelling aside, the point is if indeed the SPC ball joints are illegal why are we just now talking about it after two years? This isn't exactly a cheap fix for the people that have them.
We are talking about making people spends thousands of dollars to change a illegal part that they've been told for the last 2 years is 100% legal. $600 each times at least 50 cars. That's a lot of money, which would upset a lot of people. Someone needs to really look into this before posting on the board saying its illegal. I'm sorry but Roberts "excellent" comment pissed me off. It's like he's happy it might be illegal.
